I was up and at em by 7.15am and went out on my regular Saturday route ..up the Headingley Lane. I managed to run as far as St Chads Church without stopping ...which was a first for me. I then continued in a walky-runny pace as far as the Lawnswood roundabout that was until my sense of reason and self preservation kicked in. I did the return journey in 2 long bursts and a series of walky-runny shorts. All in all was quite pleased with my little self!
New runnyesque acquisition today was my pink water bottle which my 'Son and Heir, actually got me for Christmas but today was its first outing... Once I figure out how to upload photos to this site I will allow you the great blogsphere a window into my exhilarating life! BTW 'Son and heir + long suffering GF are also in training for GNR Yay! 'Team We 3' whoop, whoop, whoop!!!!
I am always amused by the people I see when out on the early morning run, today was no different. I had a brief cheery exchange with two extremely cold looking boys doing the 'walk of shame' the students add so much colour to the Headingley life; though it has to be said, not normally at 7.30am on a Saturday morning, God bless em, what their mothers don't know.....
I had an interesting game of tig with the council bin collection service who were out tidying the post Friday night 'Otley Run' carnage. They managed to beat me to Lawnswood but I was tempted to thumb a lift home!!
Got home to find better half (the Raison d'etre) still snoring softly so I let him sleep on for another hour.
Bring on the day, I have two performances of the Pantomime today to get through then the wrap party .. a long day looms.
